Yes, we know you are disappointed with the Red Dead Redemption port too. A company like Rockstar, which is making a lot of money, couldn’t afford to make a proper remake of the game? I don’t think that’s the reason. However, I believe Rockstar played it strategically. I think Rockstar wanted to pave the way for GTA VI with the subpar RDR port.
The developer was already criticized for the poor remasters of the GTA Trilogy. We hoped things would be different with Red Dead Redemption, but it turns out that it’s just a port for Nintendo Switch and PS4.
Now imagine if Rockstar announced a proper remake for Red Dead Redemption, maybe based on the Unreal engine. It would shake the entire market and the release window would have been for later this year. We also know that Rockstar is planning to release GTA VI soon. This would make the developer focus on two things, and we know that GTA VI cannot be compromised upon.
Secondly, launching a port and disappointing the fan base might be the smartest move. The fans have lowered their expectations with Rockstar. When you have lower expectations with someone, even their small doings feel like something massive. Hence, this can make the community much more surprised with announcement of GTA VI.
GTA 6 – Not much longer!
A few months back, the names of the protagonists and some gameplay of GTA 6 were leaked. For the first time in history, there will be a female protagonist, Lucia, alongside a male protagonist, Jason. There are many leaks of GTA 6, but none of them are officially confirmed.
A leaker also leaked information regarding the trailer that the GTA IV trailer will be released in the upcoming November. Obviously, this information is also not confirmed yet. Although recently, Rockstar’s parent company teased fans with a small hint of the game’s release.
GTA 6 Release year confirmed by Rockstar’s Parent Company
Recently, in an earnings call, Take-Two Interactive mentioned that GTA 6 might be released in early 2024 or early 2025. Its release date is not confirmed, but in the worst case, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in late 2025.
CEO Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two Interactive hinted in the earnings call of the 2025 fiscal year, which will come between April 2024 to March 2025, that there will be a “significant inflection point … which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance.” Although GTA was not named specifically, it seems more like GTA is going to be released at that time.
It’s have been almost a decade since the release of GTA V and fans are disappointe
Obviously, nothing is confirmed yet and we should not believe rumors and leaks. We will have to wait until any other official update by Rockstar Games.
Rockstar games taking too much time?
According to leaks and rumors, Rockstar Games is making GTA as realistic as it can be. Each and everything is being developed with great detail. Recently a leaker uploaded a video in which Jason was fighting with an NPC and it was so smooth that the fight felt real. There are many more leaks that prove that Rockstar is working hard on GTA VI.
