After years of work, Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie is finally ready to bring in its terrifying animatronics to its viewers.
Blumhouse Productions has released a new trailer that offers fans a sneak peek at the coming Five Nights At Freddy’s movie.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Trailer
In this trailer, Freddy and his crew are redefining their once-wholesome role as children’s performers.
The trailer seems to focus on the events of the first game in the franchise.
Josh Hutcherson plays Mike who is a new security guard hired to watch over the dark halls of Freddy’s Pizzeria at night.
However, the routine job quickly takes a turn for the worse as the rotting animatronics of the restaurant suddenly wake in chaos with glowing eyes. Then he discovers the restaurant’s mascots are capable of murder.
The movie has been in the works for nearly a decade, with filming finally taking place earlier this year.
Those familiar with the original game will notice the similarities of these characters to the ones in the first game.
Freddy, Chica, Foxy, Bonnie, and Cupcake all sport their iconic styles, down to their animatronic construction.
The other big reveal from the Five Nights trailer is the first look at Matthew Lillard’s William Afton. Those familiar with the games will recognize him as the main villain of the franchise.
Will the movie have the same over-the-top jump scares and silly horror of the original game? We can only wait and see.
Five Nights At Freddy’s launches in Australian cinemas on 26 October 2023. It will launch in the United States on 27 October 2023, and will also launch on the Peacock streaming service in the US.
