GTA 6 got its first trailer last month. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive, praising the game’s stunning graphics. Substantial progress has been made since the release of GTA 5 a decade ago.
Set in a fictionalized version of Miami, Florida, known as Vice City, the game is breathtakingly gorgeous. It’s set to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, no clue about the PC release is given at the moment.
Considering the projected release date of GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2025, it might be released on PC about seven to eight months after its console debut, which would be around April or May 2026.
Until then fans should already start thinking about upgrading their PC setup since GTA 6 is going to go hard on the graphics.
Anticipated Minimum Graphics Card Requirements for GTA 6 on PC
While the official confirmation of a PC version is still pending, the expected system requirements for an optimal experience with Grand Theft Auto 6 have been given below. Again, this is not official.
Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Windows 10/11
- CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K/AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080Ti/AMD Radeon RX5700XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 150GB Solid State Drive
Recommended System Requirements:
- OS: Windows 11 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i9-10900K/AMD Ryzen 5 5900X
- Memory: 32GB RAM
- GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080/AMD Radeon RX 6800XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 150GB NVMe SSD
The minimum system requirements are surely demanding a lot. Plus, you may want to go with the safe zone and go for RTX 3080 to explore the Vice City in all its glory.
For games slated for release in 2024 or later, 12GB or more of RAM might be necessary. However, these are merely estimates and may not be entirely accurate. Moreover, the game might demand more resources than initially anticipated.
Expected File Size of GTA 6
The projected download size for Grand Theft Auto 6 on PC is between 120GB and 150GB, assuming it’s installed on an SSD drive. This estimate is based on the requirements of GTA 5, which demanded over 100GB of space.
That said, PC gamers should start thinking about their setups if they want to enjoy the next-gen GTA.
