Obviously, it’s not possible for a game to have zero plot holes, but sometimes a plot hole becomes funny for the player. The same thing happened with a 4-year-old boy who noticed a questionable plot hole.
Marvel’s Spider-Man was officially released in 2018 and had three pieces of DLC as post-launch content. Moreover, developer Insomniac Games also released a remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 5 and PC. The launch title for the Spider-Man game on PS5 was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Plot hole found by a 4-Year-Old Boy
As mentioned earlier, it is almost impossible for a game to not have plot holes, especially if it is a story-driven game. If we talk about Spider-Man games, there are also plot holes that are very visible even for a 4-year-old boy. There are a few things in Spider-Man that are not clearly explained by the developers.
@illforgetthisname on Reddit shared an image of the Spider-Man game in which he was showing the plot hole. It was noticed by his 4-year-old son. The image shows two bad guys hanging from a beam. One person was not visible because he was fully covered in spider web, but one person was visible. The 4-year-old boy asked his father why that bad guy is not yelling for help while his friends were in that area; they could have located Spider-Man.
This problem might be happening in all games and most of the time it doesn’t make sense to the player. Games should have more logic. But in this specific scene, there’s no logic why that bad guy is hanging and not yelling. He might be on Spider-Man’s team and was happy to be captured by him? Well, this situation sounds funny.
Reactions to the Marvel’s Spider Man game Plot hole
There were mixed reactions to the post; some users made fun of the situation while some users asked the developers to be more careful with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. On the other hand, some people also recommended taking inspiration from the Batman: Arkham series. One user also said that the enemy has fully accepted his fate.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will obviously have more improvements. Although Insomniac Games has not revealed much of the gameplay yet, it will be interesting if Sony shows more gameplay of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game.
Until then, we have to wait for the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Which is set to release on October 20, 2023. Will we be able to see more of these types of plot holes in the upcoming game as well?
